Petra at Night, Illuminated with Candles

Petra looks amazing in the daytime, at night it becomes one of the most magical places on earth, as it’s illuminated with around 1500 candles. There is a night-time tour which takes you through the Siq (the shaft); which is the main entrance to the ancient city of Petra in southern Jordan.

The tour takes you to the spectacular treasury, where you can sit on mats and listen to traditional Bedouin music, and drink their flavoured tea. The tour takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and runs from 8:30pm to 10pm; priced around US $16.
