This Kitty Was Born With Backwards Legs. Seeing Him Finally Stand For The First Time Made Me Cry.

Many little cuties come and go at this animal shelter, all with different stories. Stockings, the kitten, however, would be one story this Chicago based shelter wouldn’t soon forget. When someone brought in the tiny kitten, it was immediately obvious he needed some help. Stockings was born with a serious birth defect making him unable to walk or stand. His little back legs formed a “W” and were almost backwards. He was named Stockings by the workers at the shelter and they were determined to help him out.

Even though Stockings had this terrible birth defect, he had a playful heart.

The vet tech that was originally supposed to foster Stockings decided to adopt him, making him an awesome part of her family.

Animals like Stockings have a fighting chance thanks to humane societies like Tree House Animals, meaning they don’t have to live on the streets alone or live a life of misery and pain. You can make a donation to your local humane society and help the many animals in need.. and share this beautiful rescue story.
